Kuwait National Day is the message that goes to everyone in February: the family group, the diwaniya, the school parents, the office, the clients. On Thursday, 25 February 2027, Kuwait marks its 66th National Day, and on Friday, 26 February, its 36th Liberation Day. Two days, two commemorations, one long weekend of flags on the cars and lights on the towers.
This post gives you the lines: the Arabic greetings everyone uses, with transliteration and meaning, English wishes for family, friends, colleagues, employees, clients and schools, a few lines for a WhatsApp status, and a card that travels from a dhow at sea to Kuwait Towers. The card is free to build and sends as one link.
When is Kuwait National Day 2027?
| National Day | Thursday, 25 February 2027 — the 66th (since 1961) |
| Liberation Day | Friday, 26 February 2027 — the 36th (since 1991) |
| The month | Hala February: concerts, markets and celebrations all month |
| Colours | Green, white, red and black: the flag |
They are two different days. National Day celebrates the nation and its independence; Liberation Day marks the liberation of 1991. One greeting can carry both: Happy National and Liberation Days.
The Arabic greetings
One of these at the top of a message works even in an English one.
| Arabic | Said | Means | Use it for |

| دام عزك يا كويت | Daam izzik ya Kuwait | May your glory last, Kuwait | A line of pride. A headline, a status, a poster. |
| عيد وطني سعيد | Eid watani saeed | Happy National Day | The plain greeting. |
| كل عام وأنتم بخير | Kul aam wa antum bikhair | May you be well every year | Back to the person: family, clients, elders. |
| الكويت بيتنا | Al-Kuwait baitna | Kuwait is our home | A warm line for a family or a team. |
Two for the sign-off: بكل فخر (bi kul fakhr, with pride) and مع أطيب التمنيات (ma'a atyab al-tamanniyat, with warmest wishes).

The Thread of Kuwait: a card from the sea to the skyline
Words go further when the card shows the place. The Thread of Kuwait on MomentoCard is a 55-second illustrated film, joined from start to end by a single thread:
- The sea: a boom dhow on the Gulf at first light; a rope comes loose and becomes the thread.
- The pearling days: the coiled rope, the diver's basket and an oyster with its pearl.
- Sadu, then the souq: the thread weaves Sadu bands whose lines become the arches of Souq Al-Mubarakiya.
- Gulf Road: classic cars dressed with small flags, families on the corniche, the city lit green, white and red.
- The skyline: Kuwait Towers at evening, with Liberation Tower and Al Hamra behind.
- Your memories: the thread weaves frames for up to four of your photos, with a line for the person you are sending it to.
- The greeting: a woven border, the flag on its pole, the wish in Arabic and English, and your name or logo, signed last.
Opened from WhatsApp, it plays by itself; three optional taps let the viewer move it along. Captions can be in Arabic, English or both. It is free to build and preview, and sends as one private link that opens in any browser, on a phone or a wide screen.

For a company that sends one greeting to everyone, the same card takes a logo and a formal message; pair it with the Corporate Eid card for the other company-wide Arabic greeting of the year, or the UAE National Day card for colleagues across the Gulf.
