Invitation Card Templates: Which Animated Invite for Griha Pravesh, Housewarming, Naamkaran, Mundan, Baby Shower, Dinner and Kitty Party — real MomentoCard cards

Key takeaways

The quick answer, if you only have a minute
  • Momento Studio has 19 animated invitation templates, all 4:5: 5 for a new home, 5 for a party or event, 9 for the baby and the sanskars, free to open and edit without signing up.
  • The date block is the invitation. Function, date, time, venue and one RSVP number as text layers, so a screenshot still carries everything.
  • Griha pravesh gets the puja card and the party gets the cosy one; naamkaran has a traditional and a modern card; mundan, annaprashan and upanayana each have their own.
  • Share the link so the animation plays; put the Google Maps link in the caption, because links inside an image are not clickable.

Momento Studio has 19 animated invitation templates, all 4:5, and the right one depends on three things: the occasion, who is coming, and whether it is the puja or the party. Five cards are for a new home, five for a party or an event, nine for the baby and the sanskars. All are free to open and edit without signing up, and every one has the function name, the date, the time, the venue and the RSVP as text layers.

The templates are on the invitation card templates page, each with a button that opens it in the editor. Wedding invitations have their own page and their own guide. This one covers everything else.

The date block is the invitation

Every template here has the same five text layers, and they are the whole job:

  1. The function name, large: "Griha Pravesh", "Naamkaran", "Dinner at ours".
  2. The date with the day: "Saturday, 14 November 2026". The day of the week is what people check.
  3. The time, with "onwards" if it is loose: "11 am onwards" for a puja, "8 pm" for a dinner.
  4. The venue, with one line of address spelled the way Google Maps spells it.
  5. One RSVP name and one number. Not three. The person who will answer.

Below those, the host names. Keep them as text, not as part of a picture, because the card will be screenshotted and forwarded with no caption, and the text is what survives.

Before you send

Write the address line the way Google Maps writes it, then paste the Maps link in the WhatsApp caption. Links inside an image are not clickable; the caption is.

Griha pravesh and housewarming

A new home usually has two invitations, and the mistake is sending one card for both.

The puja: Griha Pravesh. Toran, kalash and rangoli in red and gold, with the muhurat time and the family names. This goes to the elders and the family, with the time of the puja and "followed by lunch" if that is the plan. The Hindi line at the top can stay or be rewritten.

The party: Cozy Housewarming for friends, an illustrated house under fairy lights with the evening time; or Housewarming with a warm key and terracotta for colleagues and the building.

The announcement: We Have Moved. A key, a skyline and a clean address block, for everyone who should have the new address but is not invited to anything.

All three at once: Housewarming Trio. Page one the keys, page two the address, page three the dinner invite. Share it as a link in the family group and it plays as a short film.

More on the party itself, the timing and what to serve, in the house party invitation ideas and housewarming gifts guides.

Dinner, game night, kitty party

Elegant Dinner Party is a candlelit menu card. It works because the menu is the invitation: list three courses and people come. Change the courses, the time and "dress: whatever you like" at the bottom.

Game Night is neon controllers and popcorn, and the same card does movie night with the headline changed. Put the game or the film in the sub-line and "bring a snack" in the RSVP line.

Kitty Party Potluck is bright florals with chai and snacks. The rotating-host line is the one to edit: "This month at Meena's". For a potluck, add a page with who brings what.

Event Invite is the plain, sleek dark card for a gathering with no theme: a reunion, a farewell, an office evening. Event Reveal is the three-page version: date tease, headline, RSVP.

Naamkaran and naming day

Two cards, two tones.

Naamkaran Sanskar is the traditional Hindu card: kalash, om, marigold toran and a peacock feather in red and gold, with the ceremony time and the parents' and grandparents' names. This is the one that goes to the family and the pandit's side of the list.

Baby Naming Celebration is the modern pastel card with balloons and a photo frame. It works for any faith, and the template note says so: aqiqah and cradle ceremonies too. This one goes to friends and colleagues.

Christening Blessing is white and gold with a dove and a soft cross, for a christening or a baptism, with a line for the godparents.

Do not reveal the name on the invitation unless the family already knows it; "join us as we name our daughter" is the line, and the name is for the day. Wording for the card and the ceremony is in the naming ceremony invitation wording guide.

Mundan, annaprashan, upanayana

Each sanskar has its own card, drawn for the ritual rather than recoloured from a birthday.

Mundan Sanskar, the first haircut: marigolds and a soft gold glow, gentle rather than grand. The time of the ceremony and "followed by lunch" are the details that matter.

Annaprashan, the first rice: silver and cream with a kheer bowl, and a Bengali mukhe bhaat touch already in the design for families who call it that. The text layers accept Bengali.

Upanayana, the sacred thread: om and a hand-drawn janeu, and the template is written to work for Upanayana, Brahmopadesham and Yagnopavit, so change the headline to the word your family uses. This card usually carries the longest guest list of the three and the most formal names; put the boy's full name and both grandparents.

For a finished 3D version of these, with the bells and the name reveal, see the sanskar invitations.

Baby shower and the announcement

Baby Shower is cloud-soft in mint and butter yellow, for a shower or a godh bharai; the host is usually not the parents, so put the host's name in the RSVP line. Baby Announcement is pastel clouds for the day the baby arrives: the name, the date, the weight if you like, and a photo. Baby Arrival Trio does the tease, the name reveal and the details in three pages.

Lines for the shower card and the message that goes with it are in baby shower wishes and messages.

Three-page invites

Three of the nineteen are multi-page: Housewarming Trio, Baby Arrival Trio and Event Reveal. The structure is always tease, reveal, details, and it works because the person reads the whole thing before deciding. Share them as a link, where they play with the transitions and music; exported as MP4 they go in the family group as a video.

You can add a page to any single-page template on the timeline: a schedule, a dress code, who brings what.

What to write

Three structures that work on every invitation:

  • Function, date block, hosts. "Griha Pravesh. Saturday, 14 November 2026, 11 am onwards. 14 Lake View, Pune. Mehta family." The default.
  • Line, function, date block, RSVP. "Our new home is ready, and so is the chai. Housewarming. Sunday, 15 November, 6 pm. 14 Lake View. RSVP Priya, 98xxx."
  • Blessing, function, date block, hosts. "With the blessings of our elders, we invite you to the naamkaran of our son. Sunday, 22 November, 10 am. Shri Ram Hall, Andheri. Sharma and Verma families."

More lines by occasion, in English and Hindi, are in invitation messages and wording samples.

Studio template or 3D invitation?

The Studio templates above are editable designs: every word, photo, colour and page is yours, and the result exports as video, GIF, image or link. MomentoCard's 3D invitation maker and the sanskar invitations are finished interactive cards with a venue map and a WhatsApp RSVP built in, filled in and shared in a minute.

The usual split: the Studio card for the printed invite and the big groups, the 3D card for the twenty people who should get something that opens like a door.

Which template is for a griha pravesh?
Griha Pravesh: toran, kalash and rangoli in red and gold, with the puja time and the family names as text layers. For the party after the puja, use Cozy Housewarming; for the announcement to everyone, We Have Moved.
What should an invitation card include?
The function name, the date with the day of the week, the time with 'onwards' if it is loose, the venue with one line of address, one RSVP name and number, and the host names. Everything as text, not only in the picture, so a screenshot still works.
Can I add a map to the invitation?
Put the Google Maps link in the WhatsApp caption when you share the card; links inside an image are not clickable. The shared Studio link itself opens in any browser with the animation.
Are the invitation templates free?
All nineteen are free to open and edit without signing up. Some export free; the Pro ones unlock once for ₹19 in India or $1.99 elsewhere when you export or share, and stay unlocked.
What size should a WhatsApp invitation be?
4:5, which is 1080 by 1350 pixels: it fills the chat preview and an Instagram post without cropping and prints at 4 by 5 inches. All nineteen invitation templates are that size.

Sanskar Bells

A sacred invitation your guests ring in — a four-scene journey through a mandir courtyard. Scene one: three brass temple bells hang from a mango-leaf toran under a cusped temple arch, kalash and rangoli on the floor — tap each bell and it swings with a real chime and golden ripples. Scene two: haldi and kumkum bowls rise as a golden aura and rotating mandala build around the child's name. Scene three: five diyas light one by one to the shubham karoti shloka while marigold petals begin to fall. Scene four: the invitation card rises on a banana-leaf base with paisley corners — ceremony name, child and family names, date and time, venue with a maps link, your message, the little one's photo in a marigold ring, and a one-tap WhatsApp RSVP with a prefilled reply. Made for Hindu childhood sanskars — Mundan, Upanayana / Janeu, Annaprashan, Naamkaran, Griha Pravesh poojas and more. English and Hindi both render beautifully. Pure DOM and SVG, no WebGL — loads instantly on any phone.

Name Reveal Cradle greeting card template

Name Reveal Cradle

A tiny magical story about a newborn — not a card, a keepsake. It opens quietly: a 3D cradle rocks gently under falling petals while soft lines appear — "A little life arrived… a thousand dreams began…". Golden motes gather in anticipation, and then the hero moment: the baby's name assembles itself letter by letter, each golden letter flying in from a different direction on a curved path with a glowing trail, ending in a restrained golden burst — "Our little one finally has a name." The particles then guide guests down to a parchment scroll that unrolls with the ceremony details: date, time, venue with a maps button, your message, the little one's photo appearing inside a ring of golden sparks, and a one-tap WhatsApp RSVP with a prefilled reply. Four elegant themes in one template — Hindu Naamkaran (marigold toran, kalash, om), Christening/Baptism (white and gold, dove, soft light), Aqiqah (emerald, crescent, lantern), and a Modern pastel-balloon look for any family. English and Hindi both render beautifully. Pure DOM and SVG, no WebGL — loads instantly from WhatsApp on any phone, with reduced-motion support.
