Christmas Express — Party Invitation

A 49-second animated Christmas party invitation in three acts, set to a jingle-bells jukebox track. It opens on a teaser cut to the beat of the music — one bold word every two beats on maroon, white and mint screens: ARE · YOU · READY? (with a strobe of five flashes) · SOMETHING · MERRY · IS · COMING TO TOWN in brushed silver · YOU'RE INVITED revealed letter by letter, punching out towards the lens. Then a hand-painted watercolour storybook where everything pops on the beat: a red steam engine chugging out of a snowy stone arch, a snowman in a knitted beanie springing up out of the snow and "Join Us For a Merry Celebration" bouncing in word by word; the engine's steam swells into a cloud bank that fills the frame and lifts off the Christmas Express rolling by with a crate wagon, a tanker and a flatcar of presents, as your names pop out letter by letter in a burst of confetti and throb with the music; a whip pan with speed lines lands on a wooden signboard that springs out of the ground, a penguin in a red scarf hops in beside it and the date pops onto the board in a twinkle of sparkles; a long pan past the level crossing brings in a red cabin that lands with a bounce and a puff of snow, the address popping in while a little train puffs by behind it; then a snowball splats on the lens and the station soaks back in for the dress code and the RSVP. It closes on a red burst of confetti and "Merry Christmas" written on by hand over red glitter snow, two little line-drawn pines and snowflakes drifting in. Every line is yours to change. Plays by itself; one tap turns the sound on. Designed for 9:16 and recomposed for 16:9.
