Corporate New Year Wishes for Employees and Clients: 50+ Messages From the CEO, HR and the Company, and a New Year Card With Your Logo

What to write in a corporate New Year message for 2027: 50+ New Year wishes for employees, clients, partners and remote teams, from the CEO, HR and the company, in English and Hindi, plus a five-act animated New Year card with your logo and brand colour that sends to the whole company in one go.

MomentoCard Team

A small thing,

said carefully.

Short answer: a corporate New Year message thanks people for the year that has ended, names one real thing about it, wishes them well for the next one, and is signed by a person. Copy a line from the lists below. Then, instead of pasting it into a mass email, put it in the Corporate New Year card: a five-act animated greeting where the old year counts down to the new one, the four digits of 2027 land in a ring of light in your brand colour, the sky lifts to a sunrise, three short wishes come one by one, and it settles on a note with your logo, your message and your name. Send the link to the whole company, or let MomentoCard for Business send every employee their own copy with their first name on it.

The rest of this guide is about what a company New Year greeting is for, what to write in it for staff, clients and partners, and when to send it so that it is actually read.

What a corporate New Year message is for

It is the one message a year that goes to everyone, that nobody has to reply to, and that is not about work. That makes it the easiest message to get wrong: most companies send a stock line ("wishing you and your family a prosperous New Year") under a stock image, signed by a department, on the wrong day. It gets deleted in the time it takes to read the subject line.

A good one does four things:

  1. Closes the year. It names 2026 as a thing that happened, to these people, together.
  2. Thanks them for something specific. Not "your hard work". The release that shipped in a bad week; the client that stayed; the fact that people covered for each other.
  3. Wishes them well, personally. Health, rest, a good year. Not a good quarter.
  4. Comes from a person. A name and a designation at the bottom. A company cannot wish anyone anything.

Everything below serves those four.

The card: five acts in 24 seconds

The Corporate New Year card was built for exactly this send: from the company, to everyone, with the year as the hero and no recipient name anywhere, so the same card is right for an all-hands post and for a client list. About 24 seconds if nobody taps; a tap skips straight to the note.

  1. Midnight. A dark field, a few restrained fireworks, and the old year counting down, 3, 2, 1, into the new one.
  2. The year lands. The four digits of 2027 arrive one by one inside a ring of light in your brand colour.
  3. First light. The sky lifts from midnight to a dawn tinted with your colour as a sun rises over the horizon. "A new year. A clean page."
  4. Three wishes. Three short lines for the year ahead, one after another. Skip them and the card goes straight to the note.
  5. The note. Your logo, the greeting, your message, a sign-off, your name and designation, and the company name in your colour.
The Corporate New Year card as the recipient sees it: the countdown at midnight, the year landing in a ring of light in the brand colour, and the closing note with the company's logo and the message.

Open the Corporate New Year card

Step 1: the facts

Four fields carry the card. On a business send, all four are filled in for you.

  • Year. Defaults to the year being welcomed, so a card made in December 2026 says 2027. Type it only if you want a different one.
  • Company name. As people say it, not as it is registered. "Northwind", not "Northwind Technologies Private Limited".
  • Logo. A transparent PNG or SVG. A light logo sits straight on the night sky; a dark one gets a white plate behind it automatically. No logo? The card sets your company's initials there instead.
  • Brand colour. One hex value. It tints the ring around the year, the sunrise and the company name. The card checks it against the sky and brightens or deepens it until it reads.

Before you send

Pick the brand colour from your logo, not from the website. On a midnight sky a corporate navy disappears and a corporate red goes muddy; the card corrects both, but an amber, gold, teal or bright green from the logo needs no correcting and looks like it was designed for the night.

Step 2: write the message (320 characters)

The message slot takes 320 characters and sits under your logo on the closing note. It supports {{companyName}}, {{newYear}} and, on business sends, {{firstName}} and {{department}}, so one message works for a thousand people and for one.

Three sentences: what the year was, what you noticed, what you wish.

Thank you for a year of good work and good company. Whatever 2027 brings, we would rather face it with you than without you. Here's to the next one, from all of us at Northwind.

2026 asked more of this team than most years do, and you gave it: two launches, one very long October, and a lot of covering for each other that nobody was asked to do. Rest properly. See you in 2027.

To our clients: thank you for another year of trusting us with work that matters to you. We do not take it for granted. Wishing you a healthy, steady, and genuinely good 2027, from everyone at Northwind.

The wishes act carries the generic goodwill (health, work, beginnings), so the message does not have to. Spend the 320 characters on the specific thing.

Step 3: three wishes (optional, but do them)

The Three wishes field takes up to three short lines, comma-separated, under a heading you can change ("Our wish for the year ahead" by default). They appear one after another in the sunrise act. Keep each under five words; the type is large.

  • Good health, Good work, New beginnings
  • Rest, Momentum, Good company
  • Fewer late nights, More good news, Same team
  • Steady hands, Open doors, A kinder year
  • Good clients, Good coffee, Good calls

Leave the field blank and the card skips the act entirely.

Corporate New Year wishes: copy a line

Every line below fits the 320-character message slot. Swap the company name, and use {{firstName}} where a name goes if you are sending through a business campaign.

From the CEO or founder, to everyone

2026 was the year we stopped being a small company and started acting like one, and every bit of that was you. Thank you. Take the break, take it properly, and let's do 2027 with the same people.

A year ago I could not have told you where we would be today. We are here because of the people reading this. Happy New Year, , and thank you.

To the team: you made a hard year look easy from the outside, which is the highest compliment I have. Happy New Year, from your slightly tired but very grateful manager.

To our partners: thank you for picking up the phone, every time. Wishing you a strong and steady 2027.

To a remote or distributed team

Eleven time zones, one team, and not one of you ever made the person in the worst one feel it. Thank you. Happy New Year, wherever this finds you, and whatever time it is there.

We have never all been in one room, and it has never once mattered. Happy New Year from to every desk, kitchen table and café this team works from.

To the whole company, from the company

Happy New Year from . Thank you for a year of good work and good company. We would rather do the next one with you than without you.

Team, 2026 aapne sambhal liya. 2027 mein bhi yahi team chahiye, bas thodi kam late nights ke saath. Happy New Year, poori management ki taraf se.

What to leave out

  • Next year's targets. A message that ends with a number is a briefing. Save it for the kickoff.
  • What went wrong. Not the place. A New Year message is not a retrospective.
  • A department as the sender. "Management" and "The HR Team" cannot wish anyone anything. Put a person's name in the sign-off, with a designation.
  • The stock image. Champagne glasses, fireworks over a skyline, a golden 2027 in Times New Roman. Everyone has seen it; nobody has read it.
  • The product. In a client message especially: no pricing link, no "let's set up a call in January", no discount code. Your logo is on the card. That is the whole pitch.
  • Sending it on 2 January. See below.

When to send it

WhenWhy
26 to 30 December, 10 amPeople are still reading mail, the year is nearly over, and the greeting arrives before the flood on the 31st. The best window for clients.
31 December, 10 amThe classic. Late enough to close the year, early enough to be read before anyone leaves. The best window for staff.
1 JanuaryLands in a pile with a hundred others and is read on the 2nd. Fine for a WhatsApp status, weak for a company message.
2 January or laterReads as an afterthought. If you missed the window, send a "welcome back" instead of a New Year message.
Teams in several countries10 am local time in each. On MomentoCard for Business the send is timezone-correct on its own; by hand, schedule three separate sends.

Tap Share and send the link. The card opens full-screen in any browser, on Android, iPhone or a laptop, with no app and no sign-up for anyone. Post the link in the company channel, put it in the all-hands email, or drop it in the client WhatsApp group.

Send it to everyone at once

If you run People Ops or Marketing for more than a handful of people, the New Year greeting is a list problem before it is a writing problem. MomentoCard for Business fixes the list: add employees once (or clients, as a separate audience), build one campaign with the Corporate New Year card, write the message with {{firstName}}, {{companyName}} and {{newYear}}, and set the date. Every person gets their own copy, with your logo and brand colour filled in from the organisation's settings and your name as the sender, by email and WhatsApp, at 10 am in their own timezone.

The Year field fills itself from the send date: a send in January greets the year that has just begun, a send in any other month greets the coming one. So the campaign you build this December is the campaign that runs next December, untouched. Plans start with a 30-day trial; pricing is here.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is a good corporate New Year message for employees?
One that names the year that just ended, thanks people for something specific they actually did, and wishes them well for the next one without turning into a target-setting memo. 'Thank you for a year of good work and good company. Whatever 2027 brings, we would rather face it with you than without you' is a New Year message; 'let us all strive for 20% growth' is a town hall. Two or three sentences, signed by a person with a name and a designation, sent before people leave for the break.
How do you write a New Year message to clients without sounding like a sales email?
Leave the product out of it. Thank them for the year of working together, name one thing about the relationship you value, and wish them a good year. No links to the pricing page, no 'reach out to discuss', no discount code. If the card has your logo on it, they already know who it is from; the message can afford to be about them.
When should a company send its New Year greetings?
Between 26 and 31 December, in the morning, so the greeting is read before people switch off for the break. 31 December at 10 am is the sweet spot. A message on 1 January lands in a pile of a hundred others and is read on 2 January. If your teams are in several countries, send it at 10 am in each one; a card scheduled through MomentoCard for Business goes out timezone-correct on its own.
Can I put our company logo and brand colour on a New Year card?
Yes. The Corporate New Year card on MomentoCard has a logo slot at the top of the closing note (a transparent PNG or SVG looks best; without one it sets your company's initials there) and a brand-colour field that tints the ring of light around the year, the sunrise and your company name. On MomentoCard for Business both are filled in automatically from the organisation's settings on every send.
Which year should a New Year card show, 2026 or 2027?
The year being welcomed. A card sent in the last week of December 2026 says 2027. The Corporate New Year card has a Year field that defaults to the year being welcomed, and on a business send it is filled from the send date: a send in January greets the year that has just begun, a send in any other month greets the coming one. So the same card works this year and every year after without anyone editing it.
How do I send New Year wishes to every employee at once?
Two ways. For a one-off, make the card once, tap Share and post the link in the company channel or email it to the all-hands list; it opens full-screen on any phone with no app and no sign-up. To send each person their own copy, with their first name in the message and your logo on it, use a MomentoCard for Business campaign: add employees once, pick the Corporate New Year card, write the message with {{firstName}} and {{companyName}}, and set the date. It goes out by email and WhatsApp on the day.
Is a digital New Year card appropriate for clients and senior partners?
Yes, if it looks like a greeting from the company and not a party invitation. The Corporate New Year card is a midnight sky, a countdown, the year in a ring of light and a sunrise in your brand colour, then a note with your logo and a signature: no cartoons, no music, no confetti cannon. It reads on a phone in 24 seconds and can be tapped straight through to the note. Many companies send it to clients and send the same card, with a different message, to staff.
What should you avoid in a company New Year message?
Next year's targets, a list of what went wrong, the word 'synergy', a message signed 'Management' or 'The HR Team' rather than a person, a card so heavily branded it looks like an advert, and sending it on 2 January. A New Year message is a thank-you with a calendar attached; if it reads like a briefing, cut it in half.

Corporate New Year — First Light greeting card template
Premium

Corporate New Year — First Light

A New Year greeting from the company with the year as the hero, in five acts. It opens on a midnight field with the old year counting down to the new one; the four digits land one by one with a ring of light in your brand colour; the sky lifts from midnight to a dawn tinted with your colour as a sun rises over the horizon; three short wishes for the year come one by one; and it settles into the note: your logo, the message, a sign-off and the company. The year is a field and defaults to the year being welcomed, so the same card works next year and every year after. No recipient name anywhere, so it is right for an all-hands send and for clients alike; takes the organisation's logo and brand colour automatically on business sends; a tap skips to the note; reads on a phone and in the campaign preview.

Corporate Diwali — Brand Rangoli greeting card template
Premium

Corporate Diwali — Brand Rangoli

A Diwali greeting from your company, built to go to employees and clients alike, told in five acts. It opens in the dark on a single diya. That one flame throws sparks that light eight more, the night warms as they catch, and marigold goes up across the top the way it does in every office the week before. Then a box of mithai arrives in your colours — gold ribbon, your seal on the lid, शुभ and लाभ either side — and the lid lifts on kaju katli, laddoo and pista barfi. The first flame sinks into a medallion holding your logo, the eight lamps walk out to ring it, and a kolam draws itself between them in your brand colour until your logo sits at its heart like the bindu of a rangoli. Last, the greeting settles in engraved capitals on ivory paper. Restrained enough for a client mailer; works with or without the recipient's name; a tap skips straight to the greeting; pale brand colours are handled so the words always read.

Monthly Team Thank You — Team Poster greeting card template
Premium

Monthly Team Thank You — Team Poster

A thank-you from the company to a whole team, made like a poster, in four scenes. The whole field is your brand colour. It opens with the month set huge and its number outlined beside it, with a row of tally marks filling in one per day: thirty days, one team. Then the team's name, stacked word by word in heavy wide type, with a circular badge spinning in the corner. Then the ribbon board: every member's name runs across the screen on two or three lanes moving in opposite directions, looping so nobody is missed whether the team is four or forty, with the headcount set large beneath. And finally the note: an off-white card pinned at a slight tilt on the colour, with THANK YOU stacked, your message, a line that thanks the people by name, and a signature of sender, designation and company. Silent by design, with no music track. Works with no member list at all (the ribbon board is simply left out) and with lists of twenty or more, takes the organisation's logo and brand colour automatically on business sends, names the team from each employee's department, a tap skips to the note, and it reads cleanly on a phone and in the campaign preview.

Corporate Birthday — Letterhead greeting card template
Premium

Corporate Birthday — Letterhead

A restrained birthday note from the company, told in six acts. It opens on a field of your brand colour with your logo and one line: every year has one day that is yours alone. The field lifts away to off-white paper, a letterhead band arrives in your colour, and a second line says today is that day. Then the employee's name stands alone on the page in engraved serif and a dozen hairlines flick out around the rule beneath it; their designation, team and years with the company follow under it; three short wishes from the company come one by one; and everything settles into the letter itself: logo on its plate, name, your message, and a proper signature of sender, designation and company. The logo plate turns your brand colour when the logo is light, so a white wordmark reads as well as a dark mark. Built for HR admins who need something safe to send in any industry: no confetti, no cake, no hearts. Works with or without the recipient's name, takes the organisation's logo and brand colour automatically on business sends, a tap skips to the letter, and it reads cleanly on a phone and in the campaign preview.
