The Company's New Year Card, With The Year As The Hero

Midnight. A countdown. 2027 in a ring of your colour. A sunrise. Then the note, with your logo.

Five acts in about 24 seconds: the old year counts down on a midnight field, the four digits of the new one land one by one inside a ring of light in your brand colour, the sky lifts to a dawn tinted with that colour as a sun rises over the skyline, three short wishes come one after another, and it settles on a note: your logo, the greeting, your message, a sign-off and the company. There is no recipient name anywhere, so the same card is right for the all-hands post, the client list and the vendor WhatsApp group. The year fills itself in, so the card you make this December is the card you send next December, untouched.

Quick answer

To make a corporate New Year card, open the Corporate New Year card, type the company name, upload the logo and enter the brand colour, write a message of up to 320 characters and three short wishes, sign it with the sender’s name and designation, and share the link. The card plays five acts in about 24 seconds: the old year counting down at midnight, the four digits of 2027 landing in a ring of light in your colour, the sky lifting to a sunrise, three wishes, and a note with your logo and your signature. There is no recipient name, so one card covers the whole company and the client list, and the year fills itself in from the date. It opens on any phone from a link, and MomentoCard for Business can send it to every employee on the day you pick.

Five acts, about 24 seconds

What everyone sees

A card is watched, not read. This one turns the year over, lands it, lets the sun up on it, and then becomes the note. Tap anywhere to skip to it.

  1. 01

    Midnight

A dark field, a few stars, a few restrained fireworks, and the old year on screen. Then 3, 2, 1, and it turns over into the new one.

  2. 02

    The year lands

The four digits of the new year arrive one by one inside a ring of light in your brand colour, under “Happy New Year” and above your company name. This is the act people screenshot.

  3. 03

    First light

The sky lifts from midnight to a dawn tinted with your colour as a sun rises over a skyline. One line: “A new year. A clean page.” Change it, or leave it.

  4. 04

    Three wishes

Three short lines for the year ahead, one after another, under a heading you can change. “Good health, Good work, New beginnings” by default. Leave the field blank and the act is skipped.

  5. 05

    The note

Your logo on its plate, the greeting, your message, a sign-off, the sender's name and designation, and the company name in your colour. A tap anywhere skips straight here.

One card for everyone

No recipient name anywhere. The same card goes to the all-hands channel, the client list and the vendor WhatsApp group; only the message changes. On a business send each person still gets their own copy, with their first name in the message.

Your colour is the light

The ring around the year, the sunrise and the company name are all your brand colour. The card checks it against the night and the dawn and brightens or deepens it until it reads, so a navy works as well as an amber.

The year takes care of itself

The Year field defaults to the year being welcomed, 2027 today. On a business send it comes from the send date: January greets the year just begun, any other month the coming one. Build the campaign once and it is right every December.

What goes where

The fields

Six things. Two minutes if the logo is on your desktop. On a business send, the year, the company, the logo, the colour and the sender are filled in for you.

01

Year

Defaults to the year being welcomed: a card made in December 2026 says 2027. On business sends it is filled from the send date, so type it only if you want a different one.

02

Company name

As people say it, not as it is registered. “Northwind”, not “Northwind Technologies Private Limited”. It sits under the year and closes the note.

03

Company logo

A transparent PNG or SVG. A light logo sits straight on the night; a dark one gets a paper plate automatically. No logo? The card sets your initials there instead.

04

Brand colour

One hex value. It tints the ring around the year, the sunrise and the company name. The card checks it against the sky and brightens or deepens it until it reads.

05

Message

Up to 320 characters. What the year was, one specific thing you noticed, what you wish. Supports {{companyName}}, {{newYear}} and, on business sends, {{firstName}} and {{department}}.

06

Three wishes, sign-off, sender

Three wishes of a few words each, comma-separated. A sign-off (“With warm wishes,”). The sender's name and designation; leave the sender blank and the company signs.

Who sends it

Who is this card for?

Anyone whose New Year greeting goes out under a company name rather than their own.

Founders and CEOs

One message to everyone, signed by you, that is not about targets. The countdown and the ring do the ceremony; the note does the thanks.

HR and People teams

One card for the whole company, in the brand, with the year already right. Set it up once as a Festival campaign and every employee gets their own copy with their first name.

Sales, accounts and client teams

Restrained enough to send outward. No recipient name, no pitch, your logo on the note. The client list gets the same card as the staff, with a different message.

Marketing and brand teams

Your colour is the ring of light and the sunrise; your logo closes it. It looks like it was designed for you because, for those 24 seconds, it was.

Distributed teams

A link that opens on any phone, silent, in any timezone. On a business send it goes out at 10 am wherever each person is.

Agencies and studios, to clients

The one greeting a year that is allowed to be about the relationship and not the retainer. Thank them for the year, wish them a good one, sign it.

For HR and People teams

Every employee, their own copy, on the morning of the 31st. Automatically, every year.

Create one Festival campaign with this card, set the date, and MomentoCard for Business sends it to every employee with your logo and brand colour, the right year, and the campaign’s sender in the signature. {{firstName}}, {{companyName}} and {{newYear}} work in the message. Email and WhatsApp, 10 am in each person’s timezone. Next December, the same campaign runs with the new year filled in.

What to write

Corporate New Year wishes: copy a line

Each one fits the card's 320-character message. What the year was, one specific thing you noticed, what you wish.

From the CEO or founder, to everyone

Thank you for a year of good work and good company. Whatever 2027 brings, we would rather face it with you than without you. Here's to the next one, from all of us at Northwind.

No targets in this one. Just thanks, for a year of good work done without fuss, and a wish for a 2027 that is kind to you and yours.

2026 was the year we stopped being a small company and started acting like one, and every bit of that was you. Take the break, take it properly, and let's do 2027 with the same people.

From HR, to the company

The office is closed, the laptop is optional and the inbox will still be there on 2 January. Rest well. Happy New Year from all of us in People Ops.

To everyone who joined this year: welcome, we are glad you are here. To everyone who stayed: we are glad you did. A good 2027 to all of you.

To clients and partners

Thank you for a year of working together. We value the trust more than the contract, and we hope 2027 treats you and your team well. Warm wishes from everyone at Northwind.

Half of what we delivered this year had your fingerprints on it. Thank you for being easy to work with in a year that was not. Happy New Year.

Naye saal ki dher saari shubhkamnayein. 2026 mein aapne jo mehnat ki, woh sabne dekhi. Ab thoda aaram karo, 2027 mein phir milte hain. Poori team ki taraf se.

When to send it

Timing

A New Year greeting has a window. The last week of December, in the morning, before people switch off.

WhenWhat to do
◆ 26 to 30 December, 10 amThe best window for clients: the year is nearly over, inboxes are still read, and the greeting arrives before the flood on the 31st.
◆ 31 December, 10 amThe classic for staff. Late enough to close the year, early enough to be read before anyone leaves. On MomentoCard for Business the date is set once.
1 JanuaryLands in a pile with a hundred others and is read on the 2nd. Fine for a WhatsApp status, weak for a company message.
2 January or laterReads as an afterthought. If you missed the window, send a “welcome back” instead of a New Year message.
Teams in several countries10 am local time in each. A business send is timezone-correct on its own; by hand, schedule the link three times.

Why it works

Why companies send this one

The year is the hero, not a name

Every birthday card is written to one person. This one is written to everyone: it never asks who it is for, so one card covers the whole company, the client list and the partners without a single edit.

A countdown that turns the year

The old year sits on a midnight field, 3, 2, 1 count down, and the new year turns over as a few restrained fireworks open. Then the four digits land one by one inside a ring of light in your brand colour.

A sunrise in your colour

The sky lifts from midnight to a dawn tinted with your brand colour as a sun rises over a skyline. 'A new year. A clean page.' The colour is checked against the sky and brightened or deepened until it reads.

Your logo on the note

A transparent PNG or SVG sits at the head of the closing note. A light logo goes straight on the night; a dark one gets a paper plate automatically. Without a logo, the card sets your company's initials there instead.

The year fills itself in

The Year field defaults to the year being welcomed. On a business send it comes from the send date: January greets the year that has just begun, any other month greets the coming one. Set the campaign up once and it is right every December.

Restrained enough for clients

No cartoons, no music, no confetti cannon. A dark sky, a ring of light, a sunrise and a signed note. It reads correctly from a bank to a design studio, and it can be tapped straight through to the note in a second.

Questions

Corporate New Year card: FAQs

A New Year greeting sent by a company rather than by a person: to its employees, its clients, its partners or all three. A good one carries the company's logo and colour, thanks people for the year that has ended, wishes them well for the next one, and is signed by a named person. The Corporate New Year card on MomentoCard is built for exactly that: five animated acts with the year as the hero and no recipient name, shared as a link.
