At a glance

What is the Blood Party Halloween invitation? It is an online Halloween party invitation that guests have to survive before they get the details. MomentoCard's Blood Party template opens on a bleeding wax seal, shows a summons with the guest's name while blood drips onto everything, makes them drag a wheel that picks one of eight costumes, scratch a blood-crusted card to wake it up, and only then shows the date, time, venue, your note, the dress code and your RSVP line. It takes about 75 seconds, works in any phone browser, and is shared as one link.

What happens when a guest opens it

Survive first. Details after.

One tap breaks the seal. After that it is a short horror story in five scenes, two of which they have to play with their own finger, and every one of them is built to make them look the wrong way.

Opening screen of the Blood Party Halloween invitation: a bleeding wax seal with a skull, claw marks on the glass and the words OPEN IT

The seal

Open it

What they see
Black, fog, and blood coming slowly down the glass. A wax seal with a skull in it beats like a heart; the wax cracks and bleeds; claw marks drag down the screen; eyes open and shut in the fog.
What keeps happening
Every seven seconds lightning shows something standing at the bottom of the frame — and the second flash shows it closer.
Then
One tap on the blood-smeared “tap to break the seal” lets them in and switches the sound on. If they don’t dare, the seal breaks by itself.
Summons scene of the Halloween party invitation: a pinned note with the guest's name, blood dripping onto a jack-o'-lantern, a candle and a skull

Scene 1

The summons

What they see
A pinned sheet of paper with their name on it that refuses to say where or when: “where and when? survive first.” Blood drips from the top of the frame, lands on the pumpkin, the candle, the skull and the words, runs down them and pools on the floor — each drop with its own sound.
Where the fright comes from
“Read it carefully.” While they read, a skull the size of the screen slams in from the side with its jaw going, and a bony hand drags the pumpkin away.
Then
“It’s hungry — and it knows you’re coming.” Then the whole floor floods with blood and drains into the next scene.
Wheel scene of the Halloween party invitation: a wheel of eight sealed red wedges ringed with bones, a dagger pointer and yellow eyes opening on the rim

Scene 2

The wheel of the damned

What they see
Eight sealed wedges under a dagger, bones round the rim, a skull in the hub. “Who are you coming as? The wheel decides. Drag it — hard.” A gentle nudge gets laughed at.
Where the fright comes from
A real flick becomes momentum: the ticks get wetter and heavier as it slows, the candles gutter, the eyes on the rim open, and the last two pegs are crawled over. Then silence, and the seal it stopped on bursts.
Then
“The wheel has decided. There is no spinning back.” A skull hits the camera and the chosen seal becomes a card.
Scratch card scene of the Halloween party invitation: a card crusted in dried blood half scratched away to reveal a grinning killer clown

Scene 3

Scratch to see who you are

What they see
The card is crusted in dried blood and ash. They scratch it with a finger — the brush widens as they speed up, a wet smear follows the finger, and a rasp follows the pressure.
Where the fright comes from
Halfway, fingers curl over the bottom edge of the card from underneath and get pulled away. At half revealed the crust cracks and falls, and whatever is under it opens its eyes and lunges at the screen.
Then
“It’s awake — and it’s wearing your face.” The glass shatters. That is who they are coming as.
Final scene of the Halloween party invitation: the full invitation with date, time, venue, a dress code naming the costume and an RSVP button above a grinning clown

Scene 4

The invitation

What they see
Their costume, breathing, with its one rule: “Come pale. Don’t come before dark.” Only now do they get the party: date, time, venue, your note, a dress code line that names their costume, and your RSVP line.
The last trick
Tapping “I’ll be there” wakes something: a sting, a laugh, eyes in the dark. Guests reply in the chat where the link landed.
Then
A “spin again? it won’t be kinder” button, for anyone who wants a different costume. It is never kinder.

The wheel decides

Eight costumes. One rule each.

Whatever the wheel lands on is what they come as, and the rule on the card is binding. Tap one to wake it. Every name and every rule is editable.

Nothing slides in

Five ways from one scene to the next

Between scenes nothing fades or slides. Each change is a different shock, and no two in a row are the same.

  1. 01

    The flood

a wall of blood pours from the top, fills the frame and drains away

  2. 02

    The blackout

three lightning flashes, and something standing in the next scene that walks off

  3. 03

    The skull

a skull hits the camera, blood fills the frame, it pulls back

  4. 04

    The glass

cracks spread from one point, a hit shatters it, the shards fall away

  5. 05

    The tear

the frame is torn in strips that peel off at different speeds

And it is never the same twice

On top of the script, something comes out of nowhere every few seconds, except in the quiet just before a planned fright, so the big scares always land on silence. The light closes in on one thing, the caption tells them to watch it, and the fright comes from somewhere else.

  • Bony hands reach in from any edge of the screen
  • Eyes in the dark red or yellow, they blink and vanish
  • A skull from the side the size of the frame, jaw going, blood behind it
  • A knife slides across the floor when it is quiet
  • Bats and lightning a swarm, a flash, never when they expect it
  • Something standing a shadow with red eyes at the bottom of the frame

The sound

No music. Just the drips.

There is no background score, on purpose. Everything they hear is a sound of something happening: each drop of blood landing, the wheel ticking, the dagger on bone, the rasp under their finger. All of it is synthesised live in the browser and timed to what is on screen, so the silence between frights is real silence.

Want music under it anyway? Pick any track from the library and it plays. A sound button stays in the corner the whole time.

See the Blood Party template details
  • every drop of blood landing, and a splat when it hits something hard
  • the wheel’s ticks — dry when it flies, wet and heavy as it drags
  • a dagger scraping bone, candles guttering
  • the rasp under the finger on the scratch card, louder the faster they go
  • glass cracking, paper tearing, a wall of blood hitting the floor
  • a heartbeat that will not slow down, then a breath in the silence
  • a scream, a sting and a laugh on every fright
  • no background music — the silence is the point. Add your own track if you want one

Try it right now

Spin it with their name on it

  • Sound on. Tap the seal to go in.
  • Drag the wheel hard, then scratch the card with your finger.
  • About 75 seconds, from the seal to the RSVP.

Honest scare rating

How scary is it, really?

Bloody and loud, but cartoon

This is the scariest card on MomentoCard. There is a lot of blood, a skull in the face, things that lunge, and sounds timed to make people flinch. Everything is drawn in a flat poster style, so there is no photographic gore and nothing real, but it is not subtle.

Right for adult and teen parties, horror nights and friends who like a prank. Not for small children, not for anyone with a heart condition, and not for a guest list you do not know well. For those, send a gentler invite.

Who to send it to

  • The group chat

One link, everyone spins, nobody gets to pick their own costume. The arguing is the fun.

  • Friends who always come as “a vampire, I guess”

The wheel picks. The rule on the card is binding.

  • A house party or flat party

Date, time, address and dress code arrive at the end, after they have earned them.

  • The office Halloween do

A two-minute scare that gets talked about at lunch. Keep it for the team that likes horror.

  • A horror-movie night

Blood, a skull in the face and a costume you did not choose. They will respect it.

  • Anyone who ghosted last year’s party

“You were already here last year.” Send it to them first.

Questions

Halloween party invitation FAQ

It is an animated, interactive Halloween party invitation on MomentoCard. It opens on a bleeding wax seal, shows a summons with the guest's name while blood drips onto everything, makes them drag a wheel that picks one of eight costumes, scratch a blood-crusted card to wake it up, and only then shows the date, time, venue, your note, the dress code and your RSVP line. It takes about 75 seconds and is shared as one link.

The wheel has eight sealed wedges, one per costume: Vampire, Witch, Werewolf, Zombie, Skeleton, Mummy, Ghost and Killer Clown. The guest drags it; a real flick becomes momentum and friction slows it down, with the last two pegs crawled over so nobody can tell where it will stop. A gentle nudge does not count. Whatever it lands on is their dress code, and it is named on the invitation at the end. There is a 'spin again' button, but it is never kinder.

Yes. Title, host, date, time, venue, a note and an RSVP line are all fields in the editor, and they appear together on the last scene as the full invitation, with a dress code line that names the costume the wheel chose. An optional photo sits in a locket above them.

The invitation ends on your RSVP line and an 'I'll be there' button that answers them inside the card. Headcounts come back the normal way: guests reply in the WhatsApp chat or group where the link landed. If you want a one-tap WhatsApp reply built in, MomentoCard's invitation maker templates add one.

Yes. Leave the guest's name blank and the summons reads 'you have been summoned'. Everyone who opens the link gets their own spin of the wheel and their own costume. Or type a name and send each guest a personal link.

It is the scariest card on MomentoCard: a lot of blood, a skull the size of the screen slamming in from the side, things that lunge, and sounds timed to make people flinch. Everything is drawn as flat cartoon posters, so there is no photographic gore. It suits adult and teen parties, horror nights and friends who like a prank. It is not for small children or anyone with a heart condition.

Yes, but no background music. Every sound is a sound of something happening: each drop of blood landing, the wheel's wet ticks, the dagger on bone, the rasp under the finger on the scratch card, glass cracking, a scream and a sting on every fright. All of it is synthesised live in the browser. You can add your own track from the music library, and a sound button stays in the corner.

Nothing gets stuck. If nobody touches the wheel for about twelve seconds it spins itself, and if nobody scratches the card for about fourteen seconds it scratches itself, so every guest reaches the party details even if they only watch.

You can build the whole invitation, fill in every detail and preview it for free without signing up. Sharing the finished link and downloading the video are covered by a one-time unlock or a plan, with no subscription trap.

Yes. Edit the card and the same link updates for everyone who opens it afterwards, so a changed time or venue never needs a correction message.

Three things, in character: a hook, the logistics, and the dress code. For example: 'You're invited… if you survive. Sat 31 Oct, 9 PM till it's over. 13 Crow Lane, the house with no lights on. Costumes compulsory, the wheel picks yours. Reply before the 30th. After that, we come and get you.' Short beats long; the card does the atmosphere.

One to two weeks before the party. Halloween 2026 is Saturday, 31 October, so invites in mid-October catch people before other plans form. Send the link after dark and tell guests to turn the sound on. The card takes about three minutes to make, so a day-before invite is still doable.
